Down at the lakeside you can visit Ulun Dalu Temple, a Balinese icon, or go for a peaceful walk in the Botanical Garden.

Pura Ulun Danu Tempel

This very important Hindu-Buddhist temple was founded in the 17th century. It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the waters, and is actually built on small islands, which means it is completely surrounded by the lake. Pilgrimages and ceremonies are held to ensure that there is a supply of water for farmers all over Bali.

Kebun Raya Eka Karya (Botanischer Garten)

Kebun Raya Eka Karya is a real showplace. Established in 1959 as a branch of the national botanical garden at Bogor, near Jakarta, it covers more than 154 hectares on the lower slopes of Gunung Pohen. The garden boasts an extensive collection of trees and flowers, including wild orchids.

Bali Treetop Adventure Park

Within the park there's a new attraction surely to delight anyone who wants to do more than just walk around and look at pretty flowers: the Bali Treetop Adventure Park lets you play like a bird - or a squirrel. Winches, ropes, nets and more let you explore the forest up to 20m above the ground. And it's not passive: you hoist, jump, balance and otherwise circumnavigate the park. The different programmes are geared to different ages and adrenalin levels!.
